Our history
Abraham Kalungi founds Ab Networking Pty Ltd in Botswana — a web hosting company running cPanel and WHMCS. Funded from his own salary. The seed of everything that followed.
Ab Networking migrates to WiseCP. Despite strong technical foundations, running a hosting company alone without external capital proves unsustainable.
November. Gaborone. Abraham Kalungi and Imke Tshome co-found imbra — Internet Market Bridge Alliance. Imke funds it. Abraham builds it.
Abraham builds iPanel — imbra's own hosting control panel. Licensing costs fall sharply. Premium hosting finally becomes affordable for African businesses.
imbra serves Botswana and Zambia, with Uganda on the horizon. The mission has never changed: make the internet work for every African entrepreneur.
